Die Schwestern von Heiliger Irene Chrysovalantou verheimlichten ihren Wunsch sie als Abtissin zu haben. Der Patriarch selber erwählte sie und raubte ihr jede Zeit und Möglichkeit diese Wahl abzulehnen in dem er sofort anfing die Weihe-Hymnen zu singen. Später allein im Äbtissinenzimmer, konnte Heilige Mutter  Irene nicht aufhören zu weinen. Sie fühlte sich unwürdig. Da sie ein heiliges Gefühl der Verantwortung für ihre Schwestern fühlte betete sie zu Gott und sprach zu sich selbst: 

Wenn du nur eine ihrer Seelen (die dir der Herr anvertraute) verlierst, wirst du direkt  in die Höhe kommen ... vergiß nicht auch nur ein Fehler von dir kann jemanden die Seele kosten.

Da Heilige Irene wußte wie schwer es ist verantwortlich zu sein für die Seelen von Menschen, daher würde sie jedem Priester, der sich an sie für Fürbitte wenden würde, mütterlich helfen! 

Sie selber emfing einen Engel vom Herrn um bei ihr zu stehen und sie zum Guten für ihre Schwestern zu beraten. Auch begnadete sie der liebe Gott mit der Gabe die Sünde in den Menschen zu erkennen und sie in den Gespräche zur Reue zu verhelfen und zur Beichte zu führen.

 

2. Good Shepherd 

 

Good Shepherd - The sisters of St. Irene Chrysovalantou kept in secret that their wish was to have her as an abbess. The Patriarch himself chose Irene and gave her no time to refuse by immediately starting to sing the consecration hymns. Later after let alone in her Abbes room St. Irene could hardly stop crying . She felt unworthy. She prayed to the Lord in a holy awearness of the responsibility for her sisters.

She talked in this way to her self:

If You should loose one single of them (the ones Lord gave You to lead) You will go to hell...remember only one mistake you do can cost someones soul" 
As St. Irene knows how difficult it is to be responsible for the people's soul, I am sure she would motherly help any priest who would call on her for a prayer! She herself had received a true angel to stand next to her and advise her for the best of her sisters. Also dear God gave her the ability to recognize the sinns of people and help them to repentent and confess. 

 

3. Knjiga o Svetor Ireni Chrysovalantou na srpskom jeziku

 
Dobri pastir- Sestre Svete IreneChrysovalantou su tajno cuvali njihovu zelju da im Sveta Irena postane igumanija. Sam Patrijarh ju je izabrao i nije joj pruzio sansu ni vreme da ga odbije, vec je odmah poceo da peva himne stavljajuci je u cin. 
Kad je onda bila ostavljena u njenu novu sobu igumanije Sveta Irena je pocela da gorko place. Osecala se je nevrednom toga zadatka, biti Pastir dusama njoj poverenim. Imala je svetu svesnost o ogromnoj odgovornosti. 
Ovako je govorila sebi:" Ako samo jednu dusu izgubis od onih koje ti je Gospod podario da ih vodis, ides pravo u pakao , upamti samo jedna tvoja greska moze nekoga dusu da kosta"
Posto je Sveta Irena znala kako je tesko biti odgovoran za toliko dusa, sigurna sam da bi ona materinski pomogla svakom svesteniku koji joj se u molitvi obrati! Ona je tokom njenog zivota dobila andjela od Gospoda koji je uvek bio uz njo i razgovarao sa njom i savetovao je u vodjenju sestrara. 
Posto je Sveta Mati Irena prepoznala vrednost ispovesti za spasenje dusa, dobila je od dragog Boga dar poznavanja greha u ljudima i u razgovorima uvek je uspevala da ih pokrene da zazale i ispovedaju se.
